Scan to join — hand out cards with a link and QR code

A join link turns one card into a template. Everyone who opens it — by scanning its QR code or tapping the link — fills in their details and gets their own copy, with the next number (M-00001, M-00002…), ready for Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. They land in Members with the role you picked.

It works for membership cards, ID badges, event tickets, travel passes, loyalty cards and coupons.

Create a join link

1. Make the template card

   In a business workspace, create the card as you want everyone's to look: colours, level, expiry, conditions. The name on it doesn't matter — each person types their own. The ready-made cards for your kind of organisation are a quick start.

2. Choose what they fill in

   Open the card from Cards and go to its Share tab — Scan to join is at the top. Name is always asked; tap the chips to also ask for Email, Phone or any of the card's own fields — branch, company, level and so on. Whatever they type goes on their card.

3. Pick their role and the rules

   Choose the Members role they join as (Members, Customers, Guests…), a number prefix, how many people can use it and when it expires. Add a short welcome message if you like.

4. Create it and share the QR code

   Tap Create link and QR code. Tap the QR to show it big, Download QR for your own designs, or Poster for a ready-to-print A4 poster: scan → fill in → add to wallet.

Confirm their email (recommended)

With Confirm their email with a code switched on, people get a 6-digit code by email before their card is made. That means:

• Real emails only — no typos, no fake addresses in your Members list.
• One card each — scanning again hands back the card they already have instead of a second one.
• A place to find it — they're signed in to wallet, where every card any business gives them lives, and can come back any time with a new code.

Without it, anyone with the link gets a card straight away — handy for a one-off event.

What people see

1. Your details — your logo and welcome message, the questions you chose and a live preview of their card.
2. Confirm email — the code arrives in seconds; on most phones it fills in with one tap.
3. Your card — it opens with Add to Apple Wallet and Add to Google Wallet buttons.

No app to install, and it's built for phones first.

See who joined

Everyone who joined is listed on the template under Joined, with name, number, email and date. Tap Export CSV to download the list, or Edit to change one person's card. They're also in Members under the role you chose — and if that role hands out cards automatically, they get those too.

Switch a link off any time with Switch off. Cards already handed out keep working.
